President George W. Bush greets Chaplain Daniel Giorgi
For most people meeting the president is a lifetime opportunity, so it was for
Chaplain Dan Giorgi one Sunday morning on September 25, 2005. Following a briefing on Hurricane Rita at Randolph Air Force Base
near San Antonio, Texas, President George W. Bush attended Chapel Services.
Chaplain Giorgi led the hour long service. Currently teaching through the book of Genesis, Chaplain Giorgi taught on Genesis 11, highlighting the account of Noah and his
family "after the flood" and the repopulation that followed. Emphasis was placed on hope and restoration through Jesus Christ. President Bush thanked Chaplain Giorgi for the message.
Opportunity was taken to pray for the president and for the rescue/recovery
operations that were taking place. Memorable to him, was to see President Bush engaging in worship and his reception of the message.
Chaplain Giorgi remarked, "It was awesome to have the President of the United States worshipping Jesus with us."
Chaplain Giorgi is a Calvary Chapel Chaplain stationed at Randolph Air Force Base.
